Global Development Drive (GDD) is a Social Purpose Organisation (SPO) set up to address the gaps in information and knowledge about the ‘International Development/NonProfit’ sector particularly in countries in the global south, including Nigeria where our operations are based.
GDD seeks to provide timely information and capacity building opportunities to a wide range of development sector practitioners including aspiring youth, particularly those in high/secondary school who may neither be aware of, nor received prior guidance as to how working in the development/non-profit can provide unique opportunities to address common global problems such as poverty and inequality, nor indeed how fulfilling this work can be.
Our particular focus is on increasing awareness about the multitude of socio-economic opportunities arising from the global cooperation to achieve ‘inclusive growth and development’ for all peoples of the earth in line with the Sustainable Development Goals; particularly goals 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 and 17, among Nigerian/African youth aged 15-35, both on the continent and in the diaspora in order to make them more active and productive global citizens.
GDD sees a world where information pertaining to development opportunities is shared as freely and widely as possible among all peoples irrespective of race, religion, location or economic situation, in order to ensure every individual is empowered to pursue their dreams and live a life of dignity.
Our mission is to become the number one indigenous specialist provider of timely information on initiatives, partnerships, educational, capacity building, career and entrepreneurship opportunities arising from the global cooperation to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic development to all peoples of the world, particularly those living in the global south (including Africa), in order to empower them to actively participate in making our world a better place to live in.
